In addition to branded articles from well-known manufacturers, the exclusive brands PROMAT and delphis, and our own imports, the NORDWEST central warehouse also stores and ships customised stock assortments from specialist trade partners. As a specialist trade partner, you can gain easy digital access to our warehouse via the NORDWEST online information system (N.I.S.). Here you will receive information on inventory levels and order status and you can also manage your orders.

The virtual warehouse concept gives you direct access to more than 153,000 additional articles. This way, you can greatly expand your product assortment with an uncomplicated ordering process by way of the data provision channels provided by NORDWEST. You benefit from minimised effort in the ordering and invoicing process thanks to standardised IT interfaces, direct use in the dealer’s electronic ordering systems and end customer delivery with customised delivery notes. NORDWEST is currently preparing the integration of further virtual warehouses.
Our new central warehouse in Alsfeld
The logistics of the future
We are taking a decisive step towards the future growth: Our innovative central warehouse in Alsfeld, Hesse will soon be a reality – with 68,000 m² of warehouse space, a large number of incoming and outgoing goods ramps, and state-of-the-art intralogistics technology. In addition to a highly automated small parts warehouse as the logistical centrepiece, there will also be a manual pallet warehouse and a large block warehouse for the efficient handling of our heterogeneous range of articles. In addition, driverless transport systems will be introduced for transport between functional areas, automatic carton erectors for supplying the packing stations and a modern IT system (warehouse management system combined with material flow control) for controlling the information and material flows of the warehouse and the automation technology. The creation of this new, high-performance, flexible and optimised central warehouse location will further underpin the status of logistics as a core competence at NORDWEST. This pioneering project aims to strengthen your position in your increasingly competitive environment.
The issue of sustainability is also of key importance to us in the planning of our new central warehouse. The plans for the new central warehouse in Alsfeld include:
- Heat generation: no gas connection and use of heat pumps
- Large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof to supply our own electricity and feed it into the public grid
- High-quality insulation for reduced energy requirements
- Use of intelligent conveyor technology to reduce energy requirements
- Measures to reduce carbon emissions, such as presence detectors and intelligent LED lighting
- Flower strips, insect hotels, species protection houses on the grounds and extensive roof greening
- Roof greening
- Comprehensive rainwater retention concept
